Privacy Policy - Audilux Music Player

1. Overview & Commitment

Audilux Music Player MP3 FLAC ("we", "us", or "our") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy clarifies what information is processed when you use our application, how it is handled, and your rights regarding your data.

Your Audio Files Remain 100% Private: Audilux is an offline-first local audio player. We never upload, transfer, or store your personal music tracks, playlists, audio recordings, or local files on any server. All playback, equalizer, visualizer, and tag-editing features operate entirely on your device. The spectrum visualizer analyses the audio file you are playing directly on the device; the app does not use or request the microphone.

2. Device Permissions & Purpose

To deliver an audiophile listening experience, Audilux requests only essential system permissions:

Audio & Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used solely to discover, scan, organize, and play your audio files (MP3, FLAC, WAV, APE, DSD, etc.) stored on your device storage. These files are processed locally.
Foreground Service & Media Playback (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK): Allows seamless continuous music playback in the background while multitasking or when your screen is locked.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to show the media notification player in your status bar with track titles, cover artwork, and playback controls (Play, Pause, Skip).
Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK): Prevents the device CPU from suspending during active audio playback to prevent audio stutter or unwanted pauses.
Internet Access (INTERNET): Used exclusively for online preview samples, retrieving album art metadata (if requested), processing in-app subscriptions, and serving third-party advertisements.
Audio Settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): Required by Android's audio-effect APIs for the equalizer, bass boost, virtualizer and reverb features. It does not give access to any recordings.
Editing Your Files (Tag Editor): When you edit a track's title, artist, album or cover, the app writes these tags into that audio file on your device. On Android 10 and later, Android asks for your confirmation before a file owned by another app is modified. Nothing is uploaded.

3. Third-Party Services & Analytics

The application integrates trusted third-party SDKs to provide analytics, crash reporting, monetization, and notification services:

Google AdMob (Google LLC): Provides native and banner ads (no ads for PRO users). Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent form (UMP) before personalised ads are shown, and can change their choice anytime in Settings → Ad privacy choices. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, approximate location (IP-based), and advertising IDs (AAID) for ad serving and fraud detection.
Google Privacy Policy →
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google LLC): Helps us identify and fix app crashes and understand anonymized usage trends (such as app performance and audio engine stability). No personal identity or audio content is ever transmitted.
Firebase Privacy Information →
RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions and PRO purchases safely via Google Play Billing. It processes anonymous subscriber identifiers and purchase receipts. We never see or store your payment card details.
RevenueCat Privacy Policy →
OneSignal: Used to send occasional informative push notifications regarding new sound features, audio presets, or app updates. You can disable notifications anytime in Android Settings.

4. Data Retention & User Control

Audilux does not maintain user accounts or host central user databases. Your favorites, custom playlists, equalizer settings, and themes are stored locally in your device's private app sandbox.

Clearing App Data: You can completely erase all local settings, favorites, and playlists at any time by clearing the application storage via Android Settings → Apps → Audilux → Storage → Clear Data or by uninstalling the application.
Opting Out of Personalized Ads: You can reset or delete your Google Advertising ID on your Android device at Settings → Google → Ads → Reset / Delete Advertising ID.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR)

Audilux Music Player does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). The app is a general-audience audio utility. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to third-party services through the app, please contact us and we will promptly investigate.

6. Security

We employ standard industry measures to safeguard any local data. All network communications with third-party providers (Google AdMob, Firebase, RevenueCat) are strictly encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (HTTPS / TLS).

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our app features or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
